Hi

Had my 2022 ninja 125 from new and recently when the weather has been warmer im having a problem where the fuel pump wont prime and so the bike wont start. Everything else works and the bike turns over, just the fuel pump doesnt prime. When the weather cools down the bike starts and rides no problem.

ive replaced the relay and had a new battery but the problem still persists.

its been into a garage who first thought it was a battery problem, but since this hasnt solved it, they are suggesting new fuel pump or ecu.

Before it starts getting expensive can anyone offer any help please?

Thank you.

You can Meter the Fuel Pump 12v feed.
If it stops priming but still recieves voltage then it's the Pump.
If it looses voltage at the same time it stops working then there's another issue.
ECU would be my last thought as it's only 3 years old, Unless the Bike has been molested oin some way leading to a premature failure..

Garage had meter on it when they managed to recreate it, it was showing low volts to pump which is why they replaced the battery.

Is warm ambient temperature something that can cause a pump to simply not work?

Its outside at work covered, on Friday in the sun it wouldn't prime. I got the bike home, next morning it first up perfectly.

There are fuel pumps on ebay for ÂŁ40-60 so that will be the next thing to replace.

Thanks for replying
