i think there's already a thread on this. but i do about 160 first thing in the morning. any other time i wait until at least 120.

 

If i'm in a hurry I just let her heat up till I see the temperature reading, which is usually at 110F. If I have time to wait, I let the temperature stablize, which is around 150F.

 

Ever since the day i bought my bike back in march 04 i've let it warm up till the temp. reading comes up at about 104-107 then ride away. 17k miles and not a single problem and looking cleaner than a brand new bike.

 

As soon as I get a reaing on the temp gauge, she's good to go.

I was told 130 range. I let it get to that temp before riding.

 

After a long right about 20-30mi what is your temp at? I live in Cali and im usually at between 180-208, is this normal?

 

I let mine start to read at 110 or so because by the time I get out of the neighborhood to start riding she usally around 150-180ish.

usually i wait till it reads at least 110. then i ride easy till it gets to about 140-150 which is where it ends up staying.

 

usually as soon as it shows up on the gauge i am gone. But it is usually about 115-120 by the time i get on and go.

I pull it out of the driveway once she hits about 120, and even then I take it easy on it (keep revs below 4k) until the temp is around 140-150.

The same here, until I get a reading. By the time I'm out of my neighborhood she's good to go.

That's the temperature I usually experience when I'm riding in heavy traffic.

I dont really care of the temp, it just seems to run like shit and is choppy at anything under 100 so i just let it idle untill i can get my gear on.
