Well, since you're a chemical engineer and know the precise chemical make-up of both oils you're mixing in your engine I'd say it's okay for you to mix the two.

To say nothing of everything that's been stated by Bob the amsoil rep...

I have not had any problems in 12,000 miles, and enjoy the smoother shifting for both transmissions and my less bouncy cruiser forks. If I am crazy, these people are many times more crazy than me:

AMSOIL to Rotella is not an Apples-Oranges comparison per $ amount. You can't compare a Petroleum oil to a Premium Synthetic.

If you take into consideration AMSOIL can go up to 2X's the OEM recommended interval, has specific anti-wear additives, clutch performance additives and anti-corrosion additives, it is more than comparable in a cost per mile comparison.

I will sell forum members at Dealer cost, you can't buy it for less if you were a Dealer yourself. Plus I will give a Free 6 month Preferred Customer Membership with any order if you qualify.

I can vouch for Bob on his oil deals. He sent me 5 quarts of AMSOIL oil and AMSOIL filter for less than I paid locally for 4 quarts of the same oil and comparable to OEM filter, AND they came in in only a few days. So I paid less AND didn't have to go the store, which works great for my crazy work schedule. One quick phone call order and that's it. Again, thanks Bob.

Jeff, you keep saying " if it breaks it's your fault"

This is 100% true.

But please stop helping others fuck up their engine. You have not given an drop of usefull info. Only harmful info. At least put a disclaimer at the top saying you have no idea what you are talking about.

Next you will be telling people to put nos energy drink in their gas tank for 50hp+!!

My engines are not fucked up, they run great, and I change my oil mix every 2,500 miles for my motorcycles. People are free to believe whatever opinion they choose, or come up with their own opinion. I am going by what I feel with my shift foot and my clutch hand, after trying several not mixed and one mixed, after a lot of research to choose which two to mix- your feet and hands and engines might have different results.

I am a backyard tinkerer. This guy below is a retired oil expert, and is not trying to sell any one brand or type of oil:

Motorcycle Motor Oil

This guy below is an electrical engineer and he sells aftermarket windshields for a few bikes. He shares his knowledge and opinions after riding maybe half a million miles on dozens of different bikes, partly as a way to sell more windshields, and he has no ax to grind for one oil, even though he chose one that I did not choose:

True dat, anyone can have any opinion and find an expert to agree with them, including the tiny percentage of real climate scientists who deny global warming, not butthead amateurs like Monkton and Inhofe. The end of the world "experts" are the funniest, and here is a short list not including the latest religious moron:

Oil, tires, fuel octane, etc- use whatever you think is best for your bike and your wallet, and ignore the dick-taters who want everyone to think the same as them. If you want to use your own saliva as engine oil, it is your engine (cheap but probably wears out very fast).
