My prototype worked out pretty well however when I went to remove it to finalize the measurments i ended up breaking it. So I'm trying to build a better one. A little busy @ work too, hopefully this week I'll have a few hrs to take a look. sorry for the slow progress. I just want to make sure I get you guys something that will last...

good idea, better than tapping the block if you didn't want to go that route. maybe some jb weld will strengthen it up, give a quick coat of black paint. won't look the best but you don't see it anyway.

a friend of mine machined me one out of brass round stock. havent finished the gauge install but it holds up and there are no joint to really break

any one figure out the size of the 00-02 zx6r temp sensor?

the 00-02 zx6r temp sensor size is 1/8" BSP. I found an fitting on ebay and it works. All you need is an 1/8" Male to 1/4" female BSP and make the inner diameter bigger then your set.

Remove the course threads from the 636 sensor, then rethread with a die to match the original sensor. Done. You can see in the pic the 636 sensor is large enough to do this.
