1:25 is superstock pace I think, so you are very close. I say fix the bike up and get out there...

Are these times good enough to race with? i don't know much about racing.

Anything under 1' 30 at big Willow will definitely get you on the box in 600 novice.

now i've got an oil leak issue i've got to take care of, and the fork seals, but i don't think it will be in time for the motoyard streets of willow trackday.


does anyone know how to replace a shift rod seal?

 

^shift rod seal...the "right way" on many of the new engine designs will mean pulling the clutch basket....a job that is helpful to have air tools, and a clutch hub holder. The zx7/r family had a separate cover on that size of the engine, so replacign that seal was easier...it is the only bike I am aware of that was designed that way.

I have, on larger sized seals, punched a small hole in the metal frame, turned in a screw, and pulled the seal out. A small hook of the right sized might do the trick too. This kind of approach is risky...you can do damage to the bore or shaft you are trying to seal on.

 

1:34's aren't bad at all for a track day rider. The windy can be killer when you are going into 8 and 9, especially if it is coming at you. What kind of bike are you on?
