does anyone know if the swingarm from a 00-02 zx6r will fit? that guy that did the gsxr tail swap a couple of post back looks like he did it....can anyone confirm this? i read that some guy tried to do a 99 swing arm swap and it didn't work, but like i said that guy a few post back does't have the normal 97 zx6r swing

But I did find out the stock rear seat does work the gsxr tail.

Does anyone know if The newer Ninja fairings can be fitted on a 97 Zx6r? Id really like to get the newer headlights... Has anyone seen some custom headlights with upper front fairing?

I thought about this for a while. If the 98-99 zx6r has the same upper fairing then theoretically you can get a 2000-2002 zx6r or 05+ ZZR600 headlight and front fairing and it will work.

But you will need to mod your ram air ducts etc...its a bit of a pain in the ass.

any body know if i could do a complete tranny gear swap from a 98 zx6r to 96 zx6r? im pretty sure its same setup, just different gearing. im kinda new to kawis so just wondering if someone knows.

almost positive this is an 05 and not an 04 zzr600 upper fairing that i just picked up SUPER cheap. 04's are far from fitting and if im not mistaken have molded in directionals and a single headlight?

can anyone verify this fitting on 02'? sure as hell looks like the busted up one in the garage

Actually not an '04 (not made) or '05 (dark blue). Black is '08 I think, plus has the newer style stickers on the front fairing... yes it will fit!

So the 98-02 zx6r gas tank fits perfectly, but you do need to swap tail fairings to a 98+ or gsxr tail. Other than that the holes line up and it repositions the petcock to what i think a better location, and get rid of the horrible lines of the old one.

thanks for that. so im guessing if the front fairing from a 98 zx6r will fit then the 00-02 will fit aswell? can anyone confirm? or possibly the dual headlights and front from a 97 zx7r?

Yes but keep in mind he swapped side fairings as well. So my guess would be he modified the mounting brackets a bit to make it fit.

Hi,
I damaged front rim recently on my 2002 ZX6R, trying to find some alternatives. Found wheels from 2003 ZX6R on Ebay, wonder if they will fit.
Any information will be helpful.

I have a 95 zx6r that I picked up cheap, but it has been wrecked in the front end. I have to replace the upper, lower, headlight, windscreen, fairing bracket, and gauges. A buddy of mine has an 02 and took all of his stock fairings and headlight off and replaced them with race fairings. He said that he would sell them to me if I thought they might work. From first glance everything appears as if it would evenly bolt up and I would just have to buy the ram air. Does anyone know for sure if this would or wouldn't work?
