i call these hyper bikes...not really a sport tourer or sportbike IMHO...

but if I had to put it in one category I would say sportbike only becasue for a bike to be truly called a sport tourer I think the factory needs to make some sort of lugguage for them IMHO...

"They do make luggage for them. My buddy had textile bags for his 12 just in case he wants to go on a huge road trip."

aftermarket or factory? If factory then I stand corrected...Didn't think the Busa/12r had an option for factory luggaage...

Last weekend I rode to an area with twisties to have a last trip before the hard ass winter. I stopped at a "biker" cafe for a coke and chips, and look who's crazy enough to ride at such shitty weather. There came a guy right after me with his grey/blue busa. C'mon guys (and girls), it looks kinda cool. The wheelbase seems to be quite long, and the form of the bike is a lot curvey than my 6r. But it looks nice.
The guy was over 50 and had his wife riding with him. They had their tour of fast highway thrill weekend attraction. I kinda liked that. [:I]
Sometimes here in Germany I feel the 6r is not having the go as the 9r's or liter bikes on the highway. I like the way my bike handles on twisties, and looking forward to go to some track days next season. But I realize lately why many Germans are buying liter bikes or 9r's. Basically they pull better from 100 km/h to 200 km/h and at the top end they are faster, so better on the highway(with no speed limits). Respect.;)
BTW I like my bike.
