Hi. I am new to the forum, I am from South Africa and I am struggling with the relay switch to the fuel pump. My husband wants to bypass it or build a makeshift relay switch (he is an electrician) but I am worried that it may cause long term damage. What is your thoughts on this.

The Fuel Pump Relay is relatively cheap to replace at least here in the UK Kawasaki Part Number 27002 1065 £23.16 and used would be even cheaper but it may be the case that in your part of the world it's not that easy, So if your other half wishes to build a relay he must be aware it's not a simple relay that switches a 12v feed to power a component.
It has a start circuit and a Run circuit.
