I just bought my first bike 2008 Ninja 500 Brand new from the dealer for a great price. I can't for the life of me find the emergency/hazard lights on it. According to the manual there is supposed to be a switch but where there is a switch... nothing go figure. Love the bike, only thing I might change on (so far) is change it to the same green as the 250 from 09.

hi im brand a$$ new to driving a bike, but i figured it out a TINY bit cuz ive always driven a manual trans car. I just bought a brand new 2k9 Ninja 500R cuz imma SUPER beginner, obviously, and i ran into the same issue. its even on page 26 of my 2k9 manual as well, and being a beginner, those hazard lights seem to be very valuable to me. Has anyone found a solution to this? (i live in chicago, hazard lights are used VERY commonly, so i kinda need them)

Thanks in advance

Hazard lights

Hi! Had the same complaint about my Ninja 500, but here is the answer to it: They don't make anything for the latest models, but there are still parts available for an older model liter-Ninja. I bought this after a long talk to Kawasaki tech support: Part# 46091-1857 Housing-Assy-Control. It's a 'plug-n-play' thing. All the plugs fit, no need to replace the choke lever or anything. It takes about 15 minutes of work, and that's only because I couldn't get my fingers easily behind the front fairings. No need to take it to the dealership for expensive hourly rates.
