Where to buy replacement decals?

So, I'm having my bike painted, but I want to get decals put on so it looks OEM. Where can I buy replacement decals?

They don't need to be exactly the same as OEM (OEM decals are like $15 a piece, which is ridiculous).

Should the decals be put under the clear coat, or on top?

The factory decals are above the clear on the fairings, below the clear on the tank (typically).

You can check Bike Bandit, Ron Ayers for factory replacement decals. Though they may not be much cheaper than your local dealer. Check with your dealer if they can cut you a deal on a package for all of them, you don't get anything without asking.

Or you can hit up eGay and there are tons of kits that replace the OEM decals.

Yeah, I'll probably go with aftermarket, not OEM.

But, do you have a recommendation on a particular kit? How do I know what sizes to get?

They're usually listed by model year. When in doubt measure the factory ones you have now or their locations on the bike to get an idea.

Yeah, I just ordered set off ebay. $22 for the complete set shipped.

I strongly suggest you avoid the bikevinyl guy like the plague. He will take your money and never get you your shit, and if he does, itll be wrong. Im waiting on some wraps for my 636 from October.... He's been banned on TONS of forums and is at it on stuntlife right now. Google him and his business practices before you send any money his way.

Oh really? I actually had a pleasant buying experience from him. He custom made something for my zx7r that was made for other bikes, but I emailed him to make it a specific color / outline also, and I got exactly what I wanted in like 1 week.

Color and product were excellent.
