Hi
Does anyone of you experts know which swing is the lightest of a ZX9R pre-F or an F-model 2002-2003? I do know the F-swing is reinforced, so is it then also heavier?

Another tricky (?) question - does my ZX7R-rear sprocket fit on a ZX9R-rear wheel...or is there any better wheel fit with as much "bolt-on"?

Dump that manifold altogether. Aftermarket braided line will be stacked lines at the master cylinder or a jumper line.

ZX family bikes have the same bolt pattern on rear sprockets...even the cush-drive is shared across many of them.

The ZX9R swingarms changed year to year...some years had smaller bearings for the wheel and pivots. I purchased a 98(?) arm and it was small bearings...the next generation was the same size (12.5 pounds). The braced arms might weigh a little more, like a pound or maybe 2...but surely still less than the 7R did (16.5 pounds). ZX10r had smaller bearings too.

I used the all-balls bearing chart as a way to cross reference this...you could see which years had a similar part number....or dig through kawi parts diagrams to look at just bearings.

It would appear I didn't keep any notes on this stuff.

Looking at charts for sprocket sizes and chain lengths helped tell me which arms were the closest in length too.

I have a couple of spread sheets I could give you were I kept track of some of this stuff. One of these day's I need to weigh this bike and see just what it ended up at...
